About Us

The purpose of the Hopewell United Methodist Church is to know Jesus Christ, and through His love, to make Him known, sharing his miraculous, life-changing love and mercy with our community and the world.

church-steepleWe are a United Methodist congregation, located in the heart of Hopewell Borough, in Mercer County, New Jersey. While we come from different places, geographically, spiritually, even politically, we share a common goal to know the Lord better and to follow Him in our daily life.

The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors.

Beliefs

We believe that we all share a deep need to feel God’s love and experience the transformation of new birth through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is our experience that this only happens when we surrender our will and ask Jesus to enter our lives and make us whole. We believe in mission outreach to those who are in need.

Our Connections

Our church is part of the Greater New Jersey United Methodist Conference, the regional body of the United Methodist Church. The official newspaper of the conference, The United Methodist Relay, is published monthly except January and August.

Our Worship Services

Worship begins at 10 a.m., including Praise Time, ample opportunity to share thanksgivings and prayer requests with Our Lord and the congregation, special music, Scripture reading, and a Biblical sermon from Pastor Ken Robinson. Sunday School for school age children is held during the service and child care is available for children under age 5.
