Caring for Our Neighbors through Sole Hope

Many hands make light work!

The United Methodist Women gathered this week to cut out shoes for children in Uganda – through a program called Sole Hope.

The program helps prevent parasites from entering the children’s feet, enabling them to be healthy and run and play as all children should be able to do!

Thanks to all the women who contributed materials, who cut out pieces and all in our church who donated to assist this vital program.

Stay tuned for more gatherings! When you attend a Sole Hope Party, you have a great time, while you help provide jobs, shoes, medical relief and hope to Uganda. By cutting out shoe parts, you provide the tools that Sole Hope’s shoemakers need to make shoes that help keep kids and adults from getting parasites called “jiggers.” Learn more at Sole Hope’s website.
