The Hopewell community gathered at the Hopewell United Methodist Church on Aug. 16 to stand together against hate and injustice at a Community Peace Vigil sponsored by the Hopewell Council of Churches. It was an evening of prayer, song and a candlelight vigil and march through the borough. Attendees heard messages from Pastor Kate, leaders of other Hopewell Borough churches, and the mayor.

On Sunday, July 2 we celebrated the first anniversary of Pastor Kate Hillis joining us as our Pastor at the Hopewell United Methodist Church, celebrated our ministry together over the past 12 months, and shared our vision for the future. During our morning worship, we officially launched our new motto (“Hope Starts Here”) and mission statement: “We are a home for people to be transformed by the love of God and grow in mind, body, and spirit.
