The Hopewell community gathered at the Hopewell United Methodist Church on Aug. 16 to stand together against hate and injustice at a Community Peace Vigil sponsored by the Hopewell Council of Churches. It was an evening of prayer, song and a candlelight vigil and march through the borough. Attendees heard messages from Pastor Kate, leaders of other Hopewell Borough churches, and the mayor.
The Hopewell Community Closet will hold its summer clearance “bag” sale on Saturday, August 26, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Pastor Kate Hillis preached a new sermon series in July, titled “#vacationtweets”.
The Church Picnic is Sunday, August 6th from 12 Noon until 4 p.m., rain or shine!
Hopewell Council of Churches’ Parents Night Out was held at the Hopewell United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 22, and the children and volunteers had a great time!
