Community Event: Blood Drive

HOPEWELL BOROUGH, NJ – A Red Cross blood drive will be held on Saturday, November 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 3 E. Broad Street, Hopewell.

As a Super Community Blood Drive, donors are eligible to enter for a chance to win two (2) tickets to Super Bowl XLVII to be held in MetLife Stadium. Donors will also receive coupons for free items from local sponsors and enjoy complimentary homemade refreshments.

But why should you donate? It saves lives! Thousands of blood donations are needed each day to meet the needs of accident victims, cancer patients, and children with blood disorders. In fact, you could help save up to three lives with just one donation. Blood is always needed and must be constantly replenished. Just like a quart of milk, it has a shelf life. By donating, you will help ensure blood is on the shelf when it’s needed for the five million patients who will need blood this year.

Appointments are recommended. To make an appointment directly with the Red Cross, call 1-800-RED CROSS (733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code “CalvaryBaptistHopewell.” You may also call Ruth Palmer at 908-500-1824 or email ruth.anne31@gmail.com. Come to donate and enjoy the warmth and appreciation of your neighbors and the Red Cross. The need is constant. The gratification is instant.
