We celebrated a joyous Easter Sunday 2017 at Hopewell UMC as Pastor Kate Hillis performed a baptism, welcomed new members, and lead our worship of the Risen Lord!
The Hopewell UMC choir sang “Down to the River to Pray” as they processed with Pastor Kate and our new members into the sanctuary.
Pastor Kate baptized Emily Keppen and she became a new member of the congregation. Lorraine Donahue and Betsy Caivano made a recommitment of their baptisms. The pastor’s spouse, Wren Hillis, transferred his membership. Wren is a student at Drew Theological Seminary and has been approved for certified candidacy and licensing in the United Methodist Conference of Greater NJ.
