Feb. 5 – “Souper Bowl” Sunday – Youth lead a Special Offering for to assist those in need through the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK). The Souper Bowl of Caring utilizes Super Bowl weekend in America to mobilize young people to fight hunger and poverty in their local communities.

Feb. 12, 4:30 PM - SPAM Bible Study Resumes – S.P.A.M. means Study, Prepare, Apply and Minister. Join us in a program led by Pastor Robinson and Ronda Robinson. Currently studying the gifts of the Spirit. Light snacks provided.

Feb. 18, 8:00AMMen’s Breakfast. Leader: Paul Bejgrowicz. Details TBA.

Feb. 22, 7:30 PMAsh Wednesday service for all Hopewell churches at Hopewell United Methodist – Beginning of Lent. Rev. Dennis O”Neill of Calvary Baptist delivering the message.

March 2012

March 2 & 3, 9 AM – Noon – Thrifty Threads Clothing Sale – Gently used clothing for the whole family! Come out and find some great buys. Free will donation. Benefits programs of the United Methodist Women, helping the elderly, children and youth.

March 7, 7:30 PM – Lenten service at Second Calvary. Father Alex Enriquez of St. Alphonus delivering the message.

March 4, 10 AM. – One Great Hour of Sharing

March 10,  4:30 – 7:00 PM -  Scholarship Fund Pasta Buffet Dinner (Snow date – March 17). Join us for pasta, sauce and all the fixins. Fundraising event benefits the Joanne Davison Memorial Scholarship Fund which supports students entering college.

March 14, 7:30 PM – Lenten service at St. Alphonus. Rev. Dr. Ken Robinson delivering the message.

March 21, 7:30 PM – Lenten service at Hopewell United Methodist Church. Rev. Mike Capron, of Hopewell Presbyterian, delivering the message.

March 24, 2 PMUnited Methodist Women/Book Talk Group event – Special time with the author, Marva Stith, who wrote “Black Star Girl.” Light refreshments served. All are welcome.

March 28, 7:30 PM – Lenten service at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Michael Diggs Sr., of 2nd Calvary Baptist, delivering the message.

April 2012

April 8 – EASTER SUNDAY – Easter services at Hopewell United Methodist, 10 am. Also available: Sunrise service at Highland Cemetary, Rev. Dr. Ken Robinson leading.

April 13 – April 15 – Looking ahead to the Ladies Spiritual Retreat: The retreat will be held on the weekend of April 13 – April 15. If you plan to attend, please give your registration and payment to Ellie Furlong by March 7. Registration forms can be found in the church Narthex. Our retreat leader will be Stephanie Crutchfield.

4-H Meetings – The 4-H Robotics Club for 4th to 8th grade students will meet Monday nights from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at the church, in the downstairs of Burton Hall.  Open to the community. To find out more, contact Altaira Bejgrowicz.

Crafters – The Crafters meet on Tuesday afternoons, 1-3 PM. For more information, see Pat Grant.
