A Family-Friendly Christmas @ HUMC

The Hopewell UMC serves up a fun, family-friendly Christmas! We are a place to celebrate the holiday season with the members of your family from the youngest to the oldest. Check out these opportunities below:

Worship in Color & Family-Style Dinner

Tuesdays @ 6:30-8PM from Nov. 28-Dec. 19

On Tuesday nights during Advent, we will be offering an exciting intergenerational, family-friendly worship experience where our youngest to our oldest will have an opportunity to bring the story of Christmas to life in vibrant color. We will share a meal together and then reflect upon the old familiar story in a brand new way — through coloring! This is an opportunity for parents, grandparents, children, and friends of all ages to worship together, so come on out!

Singing the Story of Christmas: An Advent Series

Sundays @ 10AM from Dec. 3 – Dec. 17

Christmas carols are the best known and some of the most influential songs in our culture. They connect with us in emotional, spiritual, and theological ways, drawing us into the spirit of the season, and teaching the story of Jesus birth. As we prepare our hearts for Christ’s coming, we will dig into some of our beloved Christmas carols to uncover their deeper meaning for us today.

Home for the Holidays – Christmas Eve Sunday Dec. 24

We will have two very special family-friendly opportunities for worship on Christmas Eve Sunday.

@ 10AM Worship – Pajama Party Christmas!

Come to worship in your pajamas to sing Christmas carols, eat yummy holiday goodies, and receive a visit from two very special guests! (Hint: They see you when you’re sleeping and they know when you’re awake!)

@ 4PM – Christmas Eve Candlelight Family Service

If you are a child in years or a child at heart, you are welcome! Come share Christmas Eve with friends and family and see the story of Christmas come to life!

More Details – HUMC Offers Two Services on Christmas Eve Sunday, Dec. 24.
