Good Reads for Fall

We have a great list of books that we will be discussing this fall starting with ‘The Waiting: the true story of a lost child, a lifetime of longing, and a miracle for a mother who never gave up’ by Cathy LaGrow. What an inspiring story! Come join us on September 20th.

On October 18th, we will be reviewing ‘The Language of Flowers’ by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. Victoria Jones has spent her whole life in the foster-care system. It has been a life of mistrust and not being able to get close to anyone. Her only connection to the world is through flowers and their meaning. What she learns is that this is a gift she has for helping others while making a connection with people. It’s a beautiful story.

On November 29, we will talk about ‘The Gift.’ For some, this may be a book you read many years ago by Danielle Steel. Sometimes it’s nice to revisit special stories such this one. Some refer to it as magical, others find it haunting and a beautiful truth about unpredictability and the wonder of life. Whatever you feel about it, come join us and let’s talk about it.

We meet at 7 pm and open with prayer concerns. We would love to have you join us and bring a friend, too. Reading the book ahead of time isn’t required. Perhaps you might want to come and listen to what the book is about and then read it. Whatever works for you!
