Hopewell UMC Presents Two Christmas Eve Services: A Morning Pajama Party & an Afternoon Candlelight Service

Hopewell UMC will offer two options for Christmas Eve worship on Sunday, December 24, 2017.

The 10 AM service will feature a family-friendly Pajama Party! We encourage everyone to attend “as they are” and enjoy an inter-generational experience, including two special guests. Hint: They know if you have been naughty or nice. Traditional Christmas music will be included as well. After the service, holiday goodies will be served.

The 4 PM service – also family-friendly – will include candlelight, carols and perhaps some of the creatures who were with Joseph and Mary in the stable.

In both services, Hopewell UMC continues its series of “Christmas Worship in Color!” People of all ages will be included in celebrating the birth of Jesus, through art, specifically the art of coloring!

The offering taken during the 4 PM worship service will be dedicated to the relief & recovery efforts of the Greater New Jersey Conference to help Puerto Rico. See a recent article about what the Methodist churches in NJ have been doing.

Both services will be led by Pastor Kate Hillis and include our musicians!

All are welcome. Children in attendance will be encouraged to participate in the activities.
