The United Methodist Church was at the forefront of emergency response and relief efforts in many of the communities hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy. Churches became shelters, soup kitchens, clothing closets, charging stations, and a place to find healing and comfort during a time when so many are losing hope.
But the work of rebuilding continues today, almost four years after Hurricane Sandy. We WILL rebuild a future with hope! (Jeremiah 29:11)
By donating to the GNJ Sandy Relief Fund, you are helping the United Methodist Church rebuild homes for the elderly and low-income residents of our communities, as well as repairing parsonages and church buildings. You can donate online at http://www.afuturewithhope.org/donatenow or mail a check to GNJ Sandy Relief Fund, 1001 Wickapecko Drive, Ocean, NJ 07712.
The Hopewell United Methodist Church congregation has dedicated offerings to Sandy Relief.
Please continue to pray for those affected by the storm and those working to bring relief and recovery. God will see us through this difficult time.
