Sole Hope Shoe Cutting Party Will Be January 24

Party with a purpose! The United Methodist Women are hosting a Sole Hope Shoe Cutting Party!

When you attend a Sole Hope Party, you have a great time, while you help provide jobs, shoes, medical relief and hope to Uganda. By cutting out shoe parts, you provide the tools that Sole Hope’s shoemakers need to make shoes that help keep kids and adults from getting parasites called “jiggers.”

On Tuesday evening Jan 24, from 7 pm to 9 pm, we are getting together at Ellie’s house.

We are collecting clean, used blue jeans, and clean plastic milk cartons for this effort. We could also use good cutting scissors, big safety pins and regular sewing pins.

We are also accepting donations to send with our cut out shoes.

If you’d like to know more, please email UMW president Colleen Miller. col237@gmail.com
