Teaming up to end world hunger is the goal of Heifer International. Each year, the Sunday School and nursery-age children along with the adults of the church donate funds to purchase farm animals and resources such as sewing baskets to help families in underdeveloped nations to become self-reliant. This mission project is through Heifer International.
We are collecting non-perishable foods for Hopewell’s food pantry to help those in need in our community. A collection box has been provided in front doors of the church in the Narthex. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, the Christian relief and evangelism ministry led by Franklin Graham. In 2012, we contributed 32 shoeboxes! Thanks to all who donated to Thanksgiving food boxes to HomeFront this year. About 1,800 adults and children in Mercer County are homeless. Thank you to all who also helped us collect food items and funds for this important outreach to homeless families in Mercer County.
