The Hopewell United Methodist Church invites you to join us as we kick off the fall season on Sunday, September 16, with our Back to Church Sunday.
We will hold a special “Blessing of the Backpacks” during the 10 a.m. worship service and children attending with their backpacks will receive a blessing. All children are then invited to join our first week of Children’s Sunday school, which meets during the 10 a.m. worship time.
The “Blessing of the Backpacks” will include a special blessing over art supplies collected as a special mission outreach project for a program serving unaccompanied minor children at the Center for Family Services in Burlington. The United Methodist Women have been coordinating the collection of crayons, markers, paper and more! More info on art supplies collection here.
Following the service, we will enjoy “Sunday Sundaes” with an ice cream and toppings bar. We will have games and activities for children of all ages! If weather permits, we will be outside on the church lawn. If not, we will be inside the Sunroom!
