Do you enjoy reading? We have an active book study group of people who love reading the same novel (or other book) and gathering to discuss the theme and issues raised. Books are announced in the church newsletter and weekly bulletin giving ample time for reading and the group gets together once per month in the evening to discuss the book of the month.
We have some good reads coming up over the next few months in Book Talk and would love to have you join us in any or all of the discussions. Take a look at our schedule below. We meet monthly on Tuesdays at 7 pm.
June – December 2018
June 19 – “My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry,” Fredrik Backman.
July 17 – “A Painted House,” John Grisham.
August 21 – “The Broken Road,” Richard Paul Evans.
September 18 – “Hope Springs,” Kimberly Cash Tate.
October 16 – “If I Run,” Terri Blackstock.
November – No meeting this month.
December 4 – “God’s Guest List: Welcoming Those Who Influence Our Lives,” Debbie Macomber.
Watch upcoming bulletins and newsletters for more books.
We often have the book club books available on the library book cart in the Sun Room.
We hope you can join us for any or all of these dates. In addition to our discussion time we always open with prayer concern time as well.
The group is open to all readers. For more information, contact the church at 609-466-0471.
