“Creation: The Spirit Series”
Join us as we celebrate our annual “Creation Series” throughout the month of September with a sermon series called “Season of Creation.”
We will be celebrating the beauty and majesty of God’s Creation as well as explore ways in which we can act as good stewards of this wonderful gift.
Our online services for the series are available here: Online Worship.
On Sept. 13, we will have a special Blessing of the Devices for Back to School! This year, we will be blessing those devices – laptops, tablets, phones – that are helping our students, parents, teachers stay connected and learning, while they stay healthy! Students will get a sticker in the mail. They are also available outside the church!
HUMC will be gathered for an outdoor worship service on the church lawn at 10 a.m., Sunday, Sept 20. (Weather permitting.) We can connect with one another and the Lord, with good safety practices in effect. We are continuing our “Creation” sermon series. All are welcome!
We will be making room for the Holy Spirit by social distancing on the church lawn. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and get comfy or for folks who are most at-risk you don’t even need to leave your car just park in front of our church and tune into a radio station.
We will have hand sanitizing stations available and masks on hand for anyone that needs one. Please note: masks are required and we are unable to open the building, including the restrooms at this time.
- Bring your own lawn chair or blanket
- Masks required
- Socially distanced spots will be marked on the lawn
- Drive-in option for folks who want to stay in their cars – tune your car radio to 87.7 fm
- Service will be livestreamed for our online community!
Bring yourself in an attitude of worship! All persons welcome!
This year’s Season of Creation will culminate with a socially-distanced Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 4, at 3 pm. There will be a blessing station set up on the front lawn and Pastor Laura will bless pets and their families individually. (Weather permitting.)
