We are continuing our fall of musical exploration! The Hopewell United Methodist Church launced a series of musical performances, drawing on individuals and groups that have incredible musical abilities but may be undiscovered talents in the area.
Good Music for A Good Cause, Too!
A portion of the proceeds will go toward assisting children with special needs get scholarships to attend a week at the Elks Camp Moore. All shows are in the church sanctuary (we have great acoustics!) and are from 7 pm – 9 pm. Tickets are $20 (suggested donation) and will be available at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Nov 3, the Hopewell Valley Pops Orchestra, comprised of musicians from the area, will perform a “Hopewell POPs” style show.
The orchestra is the inaugural ensemble founded under the Hopewell Valley Community of Associated Music Projects (HV CAMP), a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to creating and upholding community musical ensembles in the greater Hopewell Valley area. The group performs music from across the spectrum, including pop music, television, movies, musicals, and video games. Open to musicians age 13 and older, the group allows musicians from all walks of life to perform in a communal ensemble.
HV CAMP was co-founded by Jack Furlong (Executive Director) and Sean Ryan (Pops Musical Director). Both are professional musicians with roots in Hopewell Valley that maintain a strong musical presence in the community. Together, they have formed numerous ensembles under the HV CAMP umbrella that perform throughout the year.
