Hopewell United Methodist Church invites you to join the Celtic band “Shenanigans – Songs Of Ireland, Old & New” for a very special concert event “Ceol agus Cairde – Music and Friends” in celebration of St Patrick’s Day. Come on out and sing along!
We’ll be wearing the green on Saturday, March 7 at 2 pm -4 pm. Tickets are $15 per person, available at the door. Part of the proceeds support the band and part support Hopewell UMC.
About the Band
Based in Princeton, New Jersey, “Shenanigans” was created in 2015 when Helen O’Shea – born in Ireland, now living in Princeton – was asked to design a show similar to an old-fashioned Irish Kitchen Party for Princeton Public Library. Helen set out to recruit the finest singers and musicians around with an interest in the songs of her Celtic heritage and the rest is history!
Shenanigans lineup is composed of anywhere from five to nine musicians/vocalists depending on the show. For the March 2020 shows, the “Shenanigans” lineup includes Paul Bejgrowicz, Marvin Perkins, Robert Cole, Fiona Tyndall, Monica Mugan and Helen O’Shea with Garry Pearsall running sound for the March tour.
For this year’s shows, “Shenanigans” are thrilled to welcome special guest performers Vanina Perkins & Garry Pearsall to the stage.
“Beidh moran craic againn go leir le cheile!”
Come join us for a celebration of St Patrick’s Day unlike any other and sing along with the songs of our heritage about love, loss and living life to the fullest in the songs of Ireland – old and new!
The church is located at 20 Blackwell Ave., Hopewell, NJ and there is plenty of on-street parking. Hopewell also has a lovely downtown with shops and restaurants.
