Food security and equity is a major problem in our communities. The Chubby’s Project has delivered over 5,000 meals to Hopewell neighbors in need over the past year.
Join the Chubby’s Project and the Hopewell United Methodist Church this weekend as we partner for our Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.
We will be decorating bags and writing cards to send with the food delivered to those in need.
Stop by HUMC between 9-1 on Sunday or Monday, or at Chubby’s on Sunday to participate! Bring an item for the Chubby’s food pantry if you can. There will be a table set up outside the church with bags and card making materials.
Come brighten someone’s day with your kind words. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing. Together we can make a difference!
