Fall Concert Series at Hopewell UMC.
Fall Concert Series at Hopewell UMC.

It will be a great fall of musical exploration!  The Hopewell United Methodist Church will launch a series of musical performances starting in September, drawing on individuals and groups that have incredible musical abilities but may be undiscovered talents in the area.

Join us as we explore different musical styles and sensibilities.

All shows are in the church sanctuary (we have great acoustics!) and are from 7 pm – 9 pm. Tickets are $20 (suggested donation) and will be available at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Good Music for A Good Cause, Too!

A portion of the proceeds will go toward assisting children with special needs get scholarships to attend a week at the Elks Camp Moore.

The line up includes:

Saturday, September 1 – Bobby Kochis and the Dusty Rivers Band – performing originals and classic rock with surprise guests from the local music scene. The band is well known in the Princeton/Hopewell area. (Bobby runs the Friday Night Open Mic night at the Hopewell Bistro.)

Saturday, October 20 – Fiona Tyndall – a singer who presents a unique blend of traditional Celtic sounds with some innovative modern treatments.  Fiona will perform both Burt Bacharach classics and Celtic favorites. She will be joined by her musician friends.

Saturday, November 3 – HV CAMP – Hopewell Valley Community of Associated Music Projects (HV CAMP) is a group which provides members of the greater Hopewell Valley community with an opportunity to create and perform music. The adult orchestra will play a “Hopewell POPs” style show.

Saturday, December 1 – Poorhouse Pickers & Friends Christmas Show – Our Open Mic regulars the Poorhouse Pickers include Bob Cole: vocals, acoustic guitar; Marvin Perkins: vocals, resonator guitar, penny whistle; and Fil Wisneski: vocals, 8-string uke, banjo-uke, autoharp, harmonica.
