Seaside Escapes: HUMC Women’s Retreat Is Planned for April 5-7

The Hopewell United Methodist Women will head to the Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch, NJ, on the weekend of April 5-7, 2019 for a time of renewal, refreshment and relaxation. It is open to all women and their friends and relatives, of any church or none.

Our theme this year is “Seaside Escapes.”

Our retreat leader is Susan Panzica, who is a story-teller and blogger at Eternity Cafe, the author of 2 books and numerous published stories. She’s a Jersey girl whose passions are to fight social injustice and to bring an eternal perspective to earthly matters through speaking, writing, teaching, and coffee dates. She is also an abolitionist, co-founder of Justice Network and a board member of the NJ Coalition Against Human Trafficking. A mission we will be supporting with a craft project:  love-links.org

Her websites are:

  • susanpanzica.com
  • justice-network.org
  • njhumantrafficking.org

Retreat Attendee Costs: $175 per person, without meals. Registration is open and deadline for registration is March 17, 2019. We are encouraging early registration to help our planning!

About Our Venue – The beachfront hotel is about 1 hour and 20 minutes away (from Hopewell) and is a full-service resort located directly on the beach. Next door is Pier Village, which includes restaurants and shops. Check out the hotel at: https://www.oceanplace.com/

Registration form is available here: UMW Retreat Flyer 2019 UPDATED

If you have any hotel questions, contact Ellie Furlong.
